Add a Firefox widget to your Home screen

Add Firefox widgets to the Home screen on your iOS device. Firefox widgets let you quickly start new searches and access your favorite websites all from your Home screen.

How to add a Firefox Widget

  1. Tap and hold any empty spot on the Home screen.
  2. Press the plus icon + at the top right of the Home screen

  3. Scroll down and select the Firefox app from the list.
  4. You can scroll through the available widgets by swiping left and right. When you find the one you’d like to add, click the + Add Widget button.

Types of Widgets

Quick View Widget

Available in two sizes. This widget brings your open tabs right to the Home screen and lets you quickly return to your open tabs.

Website Shortcuts Widget

Available in one size. This widget brings your list of frequently and recently visited sites to your Home screen for easy access. You can add any site to this list with the Add to Shortcuts option.

Firefox Shortcuts Widget

Available in one size. This widget adds multiple shortcuts to your Home screen for common browser tasks. You can make a new search in Firefox, search in private tabs, close private tabs or visit copied links directly from the widget on your Home screen.

Quick Actions Widget

Available in one size. Add a single Firefox shortcut to your Home screen. Shortcuts include make a new search in Firefox, visit a copied link, make a new private search and clear private tabs. After adding the widget, touch and hold to edit it and select a different shortcut.
