My laptop has downloaded updates and now I get a message about "user account control", do I want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?

I click on "yes" but I get the same message every time I try to open Firefox.

How do I stop this message appearing?

My laptop is using Windows 7

Check that you do not run Firefox as Administrator.

Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".

In the Compatibility tab, make sure that Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" is not selected.

You also need to check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program directory.

Problem still there.

When I check in properties the "settings applied" show Windows Compatibility mode: Windows XP(Service Pack 2).

However, I am running Windows 7 on my Laptop.

How do I change settings to Compatibility Mode Windows 7?

You can remove all check-marks in the Compatibility tab to reset all compatibility settings.
