Firefoxis already running. but is not responding.Process must be closed to open new window
I started getting this error message yesterday. It is a pain to close out Firefox over and over everytime I go to a new site. I have used Firefox for years and never had a problem. How can I solve this problem, as I don't want to go back to using Internet Exployer

Separate Issue; Your System Details shows;
Installed Plug-ins
Shockwave Flash 11.4 r402
Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0
Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.
Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac
Then reinstall the latest version.
Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).
Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.
Flash Player Version: 24.0.0.194
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ Direct link scans current system and browser Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, Win IE . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

Why are you closing Firefox when going to another site? That is not needed.
When any program closes, it needs time to shut down. Try a slow count of 20.
Easiest is to check this on the processes tab in the Windows Task Manager.
I pulled up the processes Tab to Firefox. Highlighted it and deleted; no solution?
In the Task Manager, right-click the program and select End Task.
Tried it, still getting the error box and have to click to close it.
Did the Firefox process disappear or was the Firefox process still there?
You may have to kill the process if you can't end it because Firefox doesn't respond.
There might also be a problem with the parent.lock file in the profile folder. See:
