I use a laptop, running Windows7, with Mozilla and Safari as my main browsers. I've noticed that 75% of the time,(when I'm on Firefox) and I am on Facebook, when I try to play my games I get INVALID URL. If it happens on Mozilla it also happens on Safari (I've checked). Nothing I do works. I've tried every suggested *fix*, and nothing helps. It only affects FB and the links thru FB. I can go to any other website, just not fb nor any of the links to my games. All plugins are up to date except Silverlight plugin because I don't know what it is, nor how it got on my laptop. Haven't deleted it because I don't know what it is and what it's for.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

It worked for a few hours, now I'm back to INVALID URL. I tried everything you suggested, and now it's not working again. And it only happens on my laptop, not desktop computer. Is Firefox just bad? Should I remove it and use chrome and safari? Honestly, I hate chrome, but if the issue is firefox, then I'll use chrome.
