version 4.0.1 " work offline under File menu will not uncheck: can no longer access web

version 4.0.1 firefox. Last session I checked "work offline"" under file menu. Cannot uncheck it, so cannot access web via Mozilla. think I can still use IE for web, so maybe my email will work.
