A web site I have been using successfully for several months has suddenly quit display a number of selectable features. I have no trouble viewing the site but am totally unable to respond as I was able to before. If I switch to IE, I can access properly as I was able to previously in Firefox.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

  • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
  • "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Thanks for the heads up. However, I can not find a tools menu with this latest download of Firefox. I was able to access safe mode but it did not make any difference. Could not tell any difference in fact.

Press the Alt button to show the menu bar and you can get to Tools from there.

Neither of these fixes helped at all. Absolutely no change that I can see.
