After formatting and reinstalling the firefox exception lists are already populated.

I just formatted my laptop and reinstalled windows and Firefox. After importing my old bookmarks I installed Adblock Plus and pulled up my old block list. Then I updated Windows and went on to install the little stuff like 7zip, Symantec, ... and the next thing I know is that Firefox was slowing down and when I checked, the exception lists for pop-ups, image loading and add-ons were completely full - and I didn't know any of the first hundred of sites listed. How can this be? I only went to pages like youtube, yahoo and google and only after installing symantec... Help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Some security software may have added that list Spybot S&D is known to add such an immunization list, but other security software can do that as well.

Thanks man, I didn't think about that! I wasn't sure if I had installed Spybot before or after but I had definitely run the immunization right after installing. Thanks a lot!
