Every time I ask for Google search, firefox "http://www.search.babylon.com...." appears and the results are not good. I had unistalled the babylon extension and the babylon.exe, but the issue is the same. What must I do with Firefox?

Chosen solution

You can change the starting page through settings. Just restore default.

Babylon searchbar can be disabled by clicking the icon (gives you the drop menu), selecting Manage Search Engines and remove it through there.

You might also want to delete Babylon-folder from your C:/Program Files.

Hope someone finds this at least a bit helpful, I had the Babylon prob too.

Pritepes

I only could change it by going to "about:config" page (type it on the address bar) and changing there like suggested here:

I searched for "babylon" and changed the links and titles to google

Thanks Curaloucura This was helpful I previously used uninstall and removed the toolbar by clicking on it's icon, then searched in program files for all references to Babylon and deleted them.

Still I kept getting babylon search in the main address bar and in new tabs.

Thanks to you I have been successful in removal of the problem using this method:

Search.babylon.com redirect virus usually takes control of your browser's default search engine, prevents you from changing your browser's default search engine, and you didn't get what you wanted originally. In order to remove it, you can follow the guide at this link

all u have to do is go to about:config, type babylon, and change all urls to your preferred search engine. set values to 0 and make everything false if you think necessary. also get rid of babylon install and files. it will be gone for good.
