After latest update can't connect to spectrum Charter email
After the latest update of thunderbird on 19-aug-26 I found that I could send emails but not receive them. After researching the problem I changed my server setting for imap to match what spectrum recommends, confirmed I did it correctly by spectrum. Test imap connection fails, but gives no information as to why. Tried 3 dirrent imap server: 1. imap.charter.ner 2. mobile.charter.net 3. mail.twc.com I confirmed with spectrum that I'm using the correct port number.
Is it possible to rill back thunderbird to the last release? Thanks for any and all help. I've used both google and duck duck go AI to look for answers.

re : After researching the problem I changed my server setting for imap to match what spectrum recommends,
It sounds odd that you were not already using the correct server settings.
In 'Account Settings' > 'Server Settings' for the account Note: you can only use imap server settings IF at the top it says : Server Type: Imap Mail Server. Post an image showing what you are currently using.
I note you tried 3 different server settings: Spectrum are very specific which server to use and it all depends upon your email address or rather the bit after the '@'. What comes after the '@' in the email address?

When needing help please supply info about your OS and what version you are currently using. What OS are you using ? what version of Thunderbird are you using ?
Update: There are different channels, Extended Support Release, Release, Beta, Daily and they are not using the same versions. There is the 'ESR' version and latest is 140.14.1esr, but I believe there is also a 153.1.1esr The 'Release' channel is currently, 154.0 Beta is using 155.0b5
I also notice a couple of people mentioning a problem with Spectrum, so I wondered if there had been a reported outage in your area. I cannot check because I'm in UK and cannot log on to Spectrum.
This is likely a Spectrum issue. So you're probably better off checking their support forum. https://community.spectrum.net/categories/email-22
