Passwords automatically being put in outgoing message body

Recently I have started to see Thunderbird trying to insert passwords or Yubi key codes in the body of messages without my initiating that. I sent a message this morning and I deleted the codes, but T-Bird started re-inserting them.

Any idea what can cause this behaviour?

how do I force it to do that?
