Issues with Thunderbird sent emails going into people's spam/junk

Hi all I run a very small business but get quite a few emails every day from customers making enquiries. Just the past two weeks I have been replying to customers but getting no response in turn, usually at all. This is weird for this business. People can contact us through our website or directly and it seems that makes no difference at all. Myself and the guy who built my website ran though our own personal email accounts, sending messages to the business and seeing if they were sent into our inbox, but over half the time they are directed into Spam. Not good! It appears Yahoo, BTconnect, and Yahoo are the worst culprits. No issues sending to gmail (so far)

As I use Thunderbird for my tiny business, is there something I can do this end which will help. All our security on the website is in place the DNS settings are good, we have DMARC (If that is correct) running fine, and all the checks are coming out well our end. DKIM is properly configured. SPF is properly configured. PTR is properly configured. It is just massively frustrating that this is happening and customers are getting frustrated as well. If there is nothing I can do my end, how do I encourage people to check their spam? Thank you in advance :)

you seem massively confused about responsability for delivering mail. Thunderbird is not delivering mail, your mail server is. If there is a problem about the delivery of your mail that is going to Spam inbox of your correspondents, it's a problem with the system that is doing the delivery, not the client. See:

client (Thunderbird) -> your mail server -> mail server(s) of your correspondents -> clients (Outlook or whatever)

Some mail servers of your correspondents are using an algorithm classifying your mail as spam based on the characteristics of your mail server. You have one since you are talking about DKIM, SPF,... all this is not done at the client level, but at the server level. Helping you about this process is not the object of this forum. All I can say is that if the IP address of your mail server is in a block that has been marked as 'bad' by some algorithm's source configuring the mail server has no effect. The mail server is tainted by its bad neighbors.

Your only recourse at the client (Thunderbird) level is to have an alternate delivery server (gmail or whatever) and use it when you want to communicate with affected correspondents. Or you can ask your correspondent to whitelist your mail address in their software.

Personally I have 2 send mail servers in 2 different address blocks (they are with different providers). Sometimes I have to switch the send mail server to get mail delivered, more complex but at least I use one mail box.
