That's one of the challenges of software development. People, such as you, are willing to donate, but only AFTER the features you want have been developed (and paid for by someone else). The best way to support any software product is to regularly donate (for free products) or resubscribe periodically (for fee products). That is the incentive to the developers to keep enhancing the product. The features recently announced may not be appreciated by you, but the Thunderbird audience is huge. And, "we" did not send you that notice. The fine people here are volunteers who devote their time to assisting people in using Thunderbird as it is. Anyway, thanks for sharing your views.
