Unable to use Facebook search in groups anymore
I'm not sure how long this has been going on for, perhaps a month now, but I cannot search for anything when I am in a Facebook group. A blue loading bar appears at the top and fills all the way to the end but no search results are ever returned no matter how long I wait.
I've tried clearing the cache, clearing all history and cookies. I've tried starting Firefox in diagnostic mode without add-ons, I've tried refreshing. I even uninstalled the whole thing and reinstalled it as a clean copy but it still doesn't work! It's beyond irritating now.
For information, if I switch to Internet Explorer, or whatever they call that awful thing now, it does work.
I'm running Windows 10 Home 64 bit.

Hi there! This is the support forum for iOS and scince you are on Windows 10 Home, you'll have to go over to the desktop support forum to get your issue resolved, although I do believe that this is an internet connection issue. If we can't help you, you can go to Facebook's support forum.
You could try asking the browser to forget that site. You should backup your user name and password first as evidently those details can be removed from Firefox by the procedure. You can restore data subsequently when logging into the site. Right-click the site in history (ctl+shft+h) and select Forget About This Site.

Thanks Infinity but everytime I tried to post in either Windows or general Browser threads, it said there had been an error. I was secretly hoping I could post here and it would be moved. Good to have a workaround :)

Thanks for the reply. I just tried that but unfortunately it hasn't fixed the problem. I had thought that it might be an issue with FB since the search from my main feed does work, it just doesn't work in any groups. However, that wouldn't explain why the issue only occurs on Firefox and not on another browser (I've tried Edge and Chrome and it works fine on both of those).
I have the same problem on Firefox on my Mac Desktop. It seems to have started after the last Firefox Update. I have been having to use Safari, which I hate, to use the search feature in Groups.
I've been having exactly the same problem, thought it was me, but it doesn't happen on "chrome "
I still have this problem. Any solution for this?
