I have had this option UNCHECKED for many years. After a recent update, Thunderbird started placing copies of all my sent mail into the Sent folder even though this option has been disabled. Please fix it

is your account with Google or hotmail/live/msn/outlook?

No, IMAP with AOL (old netscape.net account)

Hmm those guys stick something in the server sent folder when you send mail. I wonder if yahoo have jumped on that bandwagon as well.

Is your account IMAP? I am guessing it is being AOl, they made POP hard.

This article talks about an option on the yahoo site to turn on this action. Perhaps you could check to see if it is affecting you.
