Are you talking about a Pop or Imap account ? What is server eg: gmail ? Is the 'Archive' folder in the same account or is it in 'Local Folders' mail account? Can you see the 'Archive' folder?

If Imap account, double check you have selected and subscribed to see 'Archive' the folder.

  • Right click on imap mail account in Folder Pane and select 'Subscribe'
  • click on 'Refresh' button
  • select/highlight the Archive folder and any of its subfolders.
  • clickon 'Subscribe'
  • click on OK

If this is gmail, then the archive folder is the 'All Mail' folder, in which case you may not want to subscribe to see it, as it hold everything sent, received, archived the lot. Archiving to gmail just means removing labels.
