Why did the options for Save As disappear? that was a very useful function.
I remember saving large selections of messages as HTML c/w index. I now see only "Select Folder" where there used to be a number of options.
Is there perhaps an AddOn that will provide that functionality?

It clearly states on the add-on's webpage that it's compatible with TB versions not higher than 60. You have chosen to use the beta version, currently at 67b1, which means you can't expect an add-on to work unless the author has gone to the trouble to update it.
Install the release version, TB 60.6.1, and then the add-on will work. When the next release arrives, probably TB 68 later this year, look for an updated version of the add-on.

Install ImportExportTools, then right-click a selection of messages, 'Save selected messages'...

p.s. slight kwetch: with TBird "Addons", the Extensions tab has the typical upper right Search text box. But with "Get Addons" does not. Interesting that there's a big slab of blank realestate ... as though something is missing ... Are the two tabs addressing the same set of functions? Viz:
Modified
Well for heaven sake ... "This add-on is not compatible with your version of Thunderbird. " Updated just yesterday or day before. 67.0b1
Like with FireFox: each time Mozilla "updates" I suffer consequences of what is actually regression i.e. losing functionality.
p.s.1 I started with Mosaic 0.62b ... and have never ever used IE. p.s.2 I'm royally sick and tired of ducking updates ... in order to preserver / maintain my workflow.
looks like madness to me
"Legacy extensions must be updated to be compatible for Thunderbird 67.0. Learn more..."
And the "Learn more" links serves ... nothing. Nothing at all. Clicking it produces nothing.
So: regression, pure and simple.

"It clearly states on the add-on's webpage that it's compatible with TB versions not higher than 60." Which is where I read it. What's your point? I'm being told that I should have read what I read?
NoJoy with 67, but probably all good with 68. Good to hear. And I was supposed to know that?
Long/Short: my mistake for staying current with updates.
