I can't upload the firefox from the App Store to my Mac.

I was told to update to the latest version of Firefox. I am running IOS 10.13.4 on my Mac desktop. I was told that I had to use the App store to get the software. It doesn't seem to be available in the app store for a desktop. And now I have no Firefox, the web version replaced my old version, and my mac says that I don't have "permission" to install the App Store version. What the ???

Hmm, I'm not familiar with Firefox in the Mac store, or running iOS on a Mac. Perhaps you should reinstall from Mozilla's site. Please see this article: How to download and install Firefox on Mac.
