Using a Flash-based web app that I support for work, I keep experiencing a tab crash. Sometimes, it's as simple as trying to type a character in the username field, sometimes it's hitting tab to move focus to the password field. I either case, it's infuriating. The biggest problem is that FF isn't recognizing that the tab has crashed, so I have to open Task Manager and end the background process for the tab (easily identifiable by the +10% CPU usage), then FF realizes the tab is dead and allows me the option to close it or reload. Either way I go, when I try to log in again, the tab crashes. v56 (32-bit) didn't do this, however, something in the v55 run had issues, so I skipped it. I also recall an issue with v54 (64-bit) and Flash, so I remained on the 32-bit version.

I have a co-worker using the same version on Mac and he says that he sometimes loses the ability to type in the app, but clicking into the address bar and back gets it working again. It's not nearly the same hassle as not even being able to log into the app. Since this is something I do dozens of times a day, v57 is a bust for me.

Everyone keeps trying to "disable" Flash, but you have to realize that some of us haven't finished migrating our products yet. I support FF financially and this is very disappointing.

No. The plugin is up-to-date (at least according to FF). And I don't get the "Adobe Flash plugin has crashed" thing. Please read what I wrote.
