One thread per issue is enough. Please provide some details of the issue you are having. Vague statements are no help.
Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com was lost in the middle of the transaction. Try again.
This is a copy of the error msge That's all it says but once it said something about an advanced smtp setting.
Thanks Airmail
Here is a basic article explaining gmails SMTP setup. https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-use-google-s-smtp-server
To see what you have in Thunderbird right click the account in the folder pane on the left side of the screen. Select Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the account listing on the left side of the screen and select Outgoing Server (SMTP) Select the email entry to see the settings. Use the Edit button to make any changes.
Another thought. What version of Thunderbird are you using? Version 52.1 fixes some gmail connection errors. Upgrade to that if not already there.
