I cannot restore my backup bookmarks

I created backup bookmark files in HTML and .JSON files. None of them seem to have any information in them anymore. I checked after I created them and they were fine but once I moved them to a new computer they no longer work. How do I get my bookmarks back? What is the point of creating these files if they don't work?

Your Bookmark Backup folder should look something like this. Example; filename = bookmarks__Date__Number of bookmarks

What is the size of the files you are working on?
