Hi, up until this past week I have used Firefox to watch Kim Komando show videos. Now when I go to Komando.com to watch on demand show videos all that happens is the spinning circles. There are other videos on her web site that I can watch, but not her on demand shows. I can watch them using Safari or Chrome, but not on Firefox. I have made sure I have the latest version of Firefox, I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I've rebooted my mac, and tried to reset Firefox, which did not work. I've reinstalled Adobe Flash player and I've "googled" the problem, but have had no luck in finding a fix for this problem.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the <Alt Key> to bring up the tool bar. Then Tools > Options > Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

thanks, but I am on a mac. I was able to get into safe mode, but then could not bring up the tool bar. I tried both the command and the option key separately but the tool bar did not come up. I again googled and could find no way to get to the tool bar. Any suggestions? thanks for your help

You can try <F10> key.

or

Move your mouse to the top of the Firefox window, then right click. You will see a menu of the available toolbars.

Is there a Flash player used or possibly an HTML5 media player?

The latter may not be working on a Mac as that still doesn't have support for MP3 and MP4 (H.264).

  • bug 851290 - Use GStreamer on Mac for H.264/MP3/AAC playback (instead of AV Foundation)
