Firefox mpo na Android Community Forum

Hi,

I had Firefox tab syncing set up on my phone, and the synced tabs were showing up fine on my other devices for a while. About 3 weeks ago, that phone was lost (long story — it ended up in a river) and I haven't been able to sync from it since.

Now the synced tabs from that device are no longer showing up on my other browsers, and I need to recover some important information that was in those tabs.

A few specific questions:

What is the current official expiration policy for synced tabs data (as of 2026)? I've found conflicting info in old forum threads — anywhere from 1 week to a year depending on platform and Firefox version. Is there any way to see whether my account still has cached tab data for a device that's been disconnected/inactive for ~3 weeks, even if it's not displaying in the normal Synced Tabs view? If the tab data has expired, is there any other server-side record (even temporarily) that Mozilla could check on the account side that isn't visible to me as the end user?

Any help checking the account status directly, or clarifying the actual current retention window, would be a huge help. For my email address, please request below.

My android tablet was running our of space so I transfered FF using x explorer to a sd card without first backing up bookmarks. Bad idea. X explorer created a zip file which I could install back to my tablet. I redownloaded ff. I desire to import or transfer my bookmarks but can not find them. My zip files are: base.apk; split_config.arm64_v8a.apk; split_config.hdpi.apk; Any suggestions?

I had issues with my phone and had to do a full factory reset. I have since logged back into firefox but I want go be able to recover all of the tabs I had open and all of the collections I had saved. Is that possible?

All of my bookmarks are gone. Four years of painstakingly organizing and labeling hundreds of items and links a d documentation gone.

I was trying to change my password because Firefox was acting crazy and would not let me log in, and everything that I have saved in my collections are now gone, which are 6 years worth of sites that I have saved. Is there anyway I can get it back? I'm on a Android 16 Samsung Galaxy S23 FE.

Everything I had saved has gone. My passwords for at least 12-14 years all the shortcuts to everything I had have gone. Even my saved recovery key has gone. Cannot even recover to an earlier time. I have been with you for donkeys years. I am absolutely heartbroken

Without thinking I uninstalled Firefox on my android. It appears I didn't have an account set up or had synced my bookmarks and open tabs. Is there any way to get them back? 😞
