I am converting my 32-bit TBird v115.18 to the latest 64-bit version that runs on Windows 7. I know how to do the update but I want to make sure that my 32-bit data will open properly after the conversion. I know that if I download emails from my 64-bit PC and try to open them in the 32-bit PC, some of them get corrupted. I would like to make that does not happen from 32 to 64 bit.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

That should not be a problem. Having written that, I always recommend doing backups for upgrades, just to avoid gremlins. So, prior to the upgrade, I suggest you exit thunderbird and do backup of the profile. THEN, I suggest uninstalling the 32-bit version (do NOT check the option to 'remove data') and then install the 64-bit version. The profile should remain intact.
