My husband has an existing email address which connected to a server called (fictitious names!) 'mail.rubbish.uk'. The company who gave him the email address changed the server to 'mail.better.uk'. I was asked to change the server settings (still IMAP) to the new ones with 'mail.better.uk', which I did. My problems are:

1. His email address still tries to connect to the old 'mail.rubbish.uk' server.

2. When I look at the properties of the inbox folder, the location address is the old 'mail.rubbish.uk' one! How can I change this location address? Or do I have to set up a whole new account (and if so can I still have two email address accounts with the same name, so I don't lose the old server emails)?

3. There also seems to be a problem with sent email going to the sent folder (again I imagine because of the location address).

Thanks in advance.

After you changed the incoming server as well as the outgoing server, did you remove the passwords that point to the old server? Options/Security/Passwords/Saved Passwords, delete the old passwords, restart TB, enter the password for the new server when prompted.

I would copy the mail for the old server to Local Folders, remove the old account, and add the account for the new server, from File/New/Existing Account.
