Here are the steps for all you unhappy OSX Firefox users and developers : 1. delete firefox from applications, already feeling relieved ehh? 2.open terminal (from applications/utilities) 3. type into terminal this : //Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -p

now remove all firefox profiles. 4. download firefox 55 (any version after 55 is rubbish, thanks chris beard ..) 5. switch off internet !!!!! 6. double click firefox 56 and after installation open firefox 7.IMMEDIATELY go to preferences and disable automatic updating. 8.Enjoy your life again
