I just started using mozilla thunderbird as my email client and i was able to sign in my gmail account but when i tried to login my school email i got an error which says "Thunderbird failed to find the email setting for your account". And now don't know what to do.

If the wizard fails to detect the correct server settings use Manual Configuration. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/manual-account-configuration

Make sure you do have the required server settings as per your email provider's instructions ready.
