Firefox crashes

Playing YouTube videos in Firefox on Windows 8 periodically crashes the browser. When several videos are open, the browser crash is imminent. When the browser crashes, some phantom Firefox processes keep running - they can be seen in the Task Manager. These phantom processes do not prevent the browser from restarting, though.
