Hi Smokwa,

Version 2.0 is still under development by Mozilla. It's scheduled to finish the Code Complete phase only on September 1, 2014:

After this phase, the code is released to our Partners and OEMs, who perform modifications on the source code, certification tests, and device-specific optimizations.

The entire process can seem lengthy when we are eager to test the newer versions of Firefox OS.

If you are technically savvy, there is good news! There are developer devices that come rooted and unlocked, allowing you to flash and test beta versions of Firefox OS:

I hope you find this information helpful.

Thanks,

- Ralph

Never mind then, I'll just continue using android 4.4.2 and there is no way I'll use ffos before the 2.0 arrives.

Is it already possible to install a 'consumer version' (non-developer version) of FFOS 2.x on the HTC Open C?

Is the 'Flame' Image the appropriate one (from https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_OS/Developer_phone_guide/Flame/Updating_your_Flame)?

Thanks!

Hi fonfon,

There is no Firefox OS device from HTC. Do you mean the ZTE Open C?

You should contact the manufacturer for more information about when they will release updates to specific devices.
