After upgrading to 149.0.2 (64-bit), when starting FF or opening an new tab, the preferred URL is not loaded. It is configured in Settings/Home/New Windows and Tabs All previuos FF versions were OK with the same URl (https://search.yahoo.com/web/advanced)

So whenever I visit a website, or websites, they get added up with my shortcuts on the homepage which gets really annoying because I have to manually dismiss them everytime. for instance, I've marked them with the green circles in the picture attached here. how do i stop them from appearing here?

Hi, the home page shortcuts used to be bookmarked sites I selected, and they stayed in one place. After a recent update Firefox litters the page with recent searches, displacing the ones I saved. I can't see a setting to select recent search shortcuts ON/OFF, how to restore the old (and very useful) shortcuts?

Здравствуйте, наверное в последнем месяце у меня начались проблемы с FireFox, вот одна из них. Я нажимаю на создать новую вкладку и у меня просто белый экран, а так же есть вторая, но у меня нету скринов и описать её я смогу расплывчато: иногда смотря видео FireFox весь становится черным, а кнопки свернуть на весь экран и закрыть принимают вид как в Windows 7. Как мне это решить? FireFox мой любимый браузер и я бы хотел работать с ним в комфорте

I am an editor, which means I do a lot of research. I do not want my shortcuts to reflect all the crap I have to review for work. The latest update shrunk the size of the shortcut squares and added many. That simply does not work for me, and I want to return to what I had before the update. Is there any way to do that? What I have now is a royal pain in the butt.

I like having the shortcuts to regular sites on the home page, but its usefulness is spoiled by every site I momentarily visit also appearing and replacing my pinned sites. This renders it basically useless. Can we please have a way of removing 'visited sites' from the shortcuts.

I have several machines, and a few of them will open firefox just fine, the browser starts and displays the new tab home page. But others will open to a null tab, nothing is there.

What's broken with the blank tab machines?

I've looked over all the possible settings for the home screen and they're the same on all the platforms.

IT HAS BECOME VERY FRUSTRATING TO USE MY HOME PAGE WITH THE LITTLE BOX FOR EACH WEB SITE I GO TO REGULARLY. IF I CLICK ON THE ONE FOR MY BANK, MULTIPLE ONES ARE APPEARING WHEN I GET OUT OF THE SITE. CAN I GO BACK TO THE PREVIOUS VERSION? I AM ON WINDOWS 10. I SELECTED AN ITEM IN YOUR TOPICS SELECTION, BUT I DID ONLY SO I CAN CONTINUE AND SUBMIT MY QUESTION. NONE OF THE TOPICS SEEM TO FIT MY SITUATION. I AM ALSO RECEIVING ADVERTISING LITTLE BOXES. HOW DO I STOP THAT/ I NEVER HAD THESE ISSUES WITH THE PREVIOUS VERSION. THANK YOU.

I'm sick of clicking on what I think might be an interesting story only to find I'm not allowed on the site without an account so I'd like to block them from being included in "thought-provoking stories".

When I open a new tab, I am shown topics on news, science, culture, etc> the first topics I am shown are sensational trivial garbage. I always enjoy seeing informative and educational content, but Firefox prioritizes gossip, Hollywood personalities and advertisements disguised as news.. You also prioritize hearsay, negativity, and biased news articles. Are your editors doing this deliberately, or are they simply focused on immature minds and biases? How do I change this, or should I eliminate all content from the new tab page? Thank you.

When Firefox starts, there are all these supposed "news" stories, and almost all of them are left-wing extremist leaning, anti-American junk, Don't know who supplies or selects them, but is there any way to set it so it presents a more balanced (and truthful) array, or failing that, doesn't come up at all? When I open a new tab, I have it set to the home page. When I go there, it adds the most visited sites, yes? ok. but...now when I go there, it has a bunch of sites past my pinned ones. When I dismiss one, all of them disappear except my pinned. A few minutes later, I open a new tab, and theres a bunch of new sites again, but I can only dismiss these one at a time, and they again disappear for some minutes, or a couple/few tab openings. Bug or feature? how do I fix it?

On new tab, all my added short cuts are gone and it doesn't let me add any. For example I want to have a shortcut to say... Amazon, but when I type or paste in the url, it still doesn't add it and the add button goes blue, not white. I have the shortcut feature turned on

I switched to Firefox yesterday, and it keeps adding some sites that I visited more than once to my shortcuts, and there is no option to disable it. I can only disable all shortcuts, and I don't wanna do that. I just wanna have MY SHORTCUTS. It's literally the most basic feature that ALL BROWSERS HAVE. WHY CAN'T I HAVE MY OWN SHORTCUTS? If there is really no way to have ONLY MY SHORTCUTS, I'm switching to Edge.
