How can I make Firefox act like Firefox, and not like Google Chrome?
If I wanted to use Google Chrome, I would use Google Chrome. Firefox no longer allows me to scroll with the mouse wheel. One of my favorite features is the ability to middle click items and have them open in another page, but I cannot do that anymore, all it does it make the funky scroll thing come up, like the one in Chrome. Also, I don't care about window space, I'd rather have the layout of the old Firefox models.
In other words, is is possible to download older Firefox models? Or is it possible to change the settings in my current model, I believe I have 5, to make it more like the old one?

For security reasons it would be wise to use the fully supported versions that currently means Firefox 3.6 ; or Firefox 6 or above. I use XP and my middle click will open in another tab, & the scroll wheel works.
Firefox is highly customisable you may be interested in this post and the links it contains: /questions/860628#answer-229290
Not sure what causes your scroll and middle click problems, possibly some customisation or conflicting add-on. Unfortunately the penalty of Firefox being so customisable is that conflicts may occur. It is considered an advanced topic but it is possible to create multiple profiles and therefore all sorts of varied customizations, it is of course simpler to use safe mode or disable and enable things one at a time.
I see, thank you. Do you know where I can get Firefox 3.6, then? I'd like to try all these.
