The arrow on the left of my URL bar is not doing anything, it usually shows the previous URLs I have typed. What happened?
I just installed some windows updates, as I very recently reinstalled XP. I have no add-ons, so the problem doesn't lie there.

Make sure that the Location Bar is not set to "Nothing":
- Firefox (Tools) > Options > Privacy > Location Bar: When using the location bar, suggest: History, Bookmarks, History and Bookmarks
