How can I change my home page from yahoo to google due to loads of spam and probably viruses. Please help! I do have virus protection--AVG and McAfee--but there's defintely coming in with yahoo.
I have a Dell XP hand-me-down computer from my daughter. A friend set up the apps for me -- I'm clueless how to stop the computer to automatically opening to a yahoo screen when I open Firefox. Thanks for your help.

All web based email programs have filters and they do a good job, if you are having major problems, my guess is that you turned them off.
You may find that "Yahoo" is reset as your homepage again after your restart your PC or upon a cold startup.
1. You don't need two anti-virus applications installed.
2. Both AVG and McAfee are known to "slip" extras, like Yahoo, onto PC's if the person who is installing those applications isn't especially vigilant when installing those programs and is "de-selecting" the option for a "Yahoo toolbar".
This is what I use, and recommend as an anti-virus application.

Spam is a term that is related to email / web mail - not related to a browser such as Firefox, except with regards to web mail.
