I don't like firefox 4. Where can I download 3.5?
Is it still possible to download a previous version, as I don't seem to have my original install file?

I downloaded version 3.6.17 in English(US) for Windows at this link http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html and it feels good to go back to the old Firefox that I love so much...however it does say "Firefox 3.6.x will be maintained with security and stability updates for a short amount of time. All users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to Firefox 4." ...so I know it's temporary.
Firefox is highly customizable and you may be able to customize it to meet your needs.
If you do not like the new UI, you can make Firefox 4 look and behave more like Firefox 3.6, for details see http://www.computertechtips.net/64/make-firefox-4-look-like-ff-3-6
I would not use Firefox 3.5, that has now reached its end-of-life and will not be supported with any more updates. To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles
Thanks TonyE. I followed the link and advice (albeit with some difficulty) on how to make Firefox 4 look more like Firefox 3.6, and I am much happier with the look now. Sounds like there are quite a few people who do not like the new look of Firefox 4.
You're welcome
I prefer the new look, the feedback system shows that many others also prefer the new look. As with any major change there will be some who like it and others who don't.
