Symbols don't show up as symbols
The square root character, pi, summation all show up as correct symbols in IE8 but not Firefox 3.6.9

The symbol font doesn't work in Firefox. Websites need to use Unicode representation of such symbols and not 8 bit fonts that map on the main ASCII set like the symbol font.
