Prime Video freezes or shows “Video unavailable” in Firefox on Mac
Hi, I’m having trouble playing Prime Video in Firefox on my 2023 MacBook Pro. The video freezes, or I get a “Video unavailable” message. It happens both on primevideo.com and when I open Prime Video from Amazon’s website.
Prime Video plays normally in Safari on the same Mac. In Firefox, I’ve tried restarting my Mac and router, turning off my VPN, testing in a Private Window and Troubleshoot Mode, and updating Firefox. “Play DRM-controlled content” is enabled, and Widevine Content Decryption Module is listed and enabled. I also found that media.eme.enabled was set to false and changed it to true, but the problem remains.
Could you help me determine why Prime Video won’t play in Firefox and what I should try next?
Firefox version: Version 158.0 (64-bit) macOS version: Sequoia 15.8.1

Hi, are you able to test it in the version 159 beta?
Hello Ty, Thanks so much for the suggestion. I just tested streaming in the version 15.9 beta. It worked in both primevideo.com and Prime Video from Amazon’s website. I hope the official version will be released soon. Thanks again! anha
