If CCleaner is not user friendly . . . . remove it ? Again if you have installed mal ware bytes/dot/com/ I would have imagine there are controls.
I have never used such things in 30 years and never had a problem
Also make a regular backup of your cookies, by the way have you tries using a primary password?
