Server authentication errors with gmail
Since updating to TB 153esr from the previous esr, I occasionally get a server authentication error with imap.gmail.com. Most often they happen when first starting up, but occasionally seem to happen at other times. They seem to be transient as gmail works fine otherwise.
Just wondering if this is a known bug?

I have not seen this happening with my several Gmail accounts (although I get this often with Yahoo,) and I haven't noticed anybody else mention it. Which is not to deny that it's happening to you.
Version 153.1.1esr is out now. Maybe updating would improve things?

I am trying to add one of my gmail email addresses into Thunderbird but get authentication error saying incoming server already exists. I am using Thunderbird version 153.4.0 esr 64 bit. It works properly on Spectrum android S24FE that was set up many months ago but can't get past setting up the account on Thunderbird. If I remember correctly I think I was able to add my gmail to a previous version of Thunderbird on another computer using OAuth more than a year ago.
Just Found another post that talks about OAuth and Microsoft changes. Will check that out and see if any of that information helps.
