Greek emails received show fonts as "?"
Hello everyone.
Lately a get my emails from greek senders like in the screenshot, not everyone, but most of them. I tried many things like, changing mime variable from false to true, removing addons, repair folder, repair font to no avail. I also disabled antivirus. The questios marks are also in the "ctrl+U" screen and the fonts looks utf-8 as normal in the header. They look normal online or the yahoo mail app in iOS. Anyong knows how to fix this?

Does 'Repair Text Encoding' fix it? At the top-right of the message window click the 'More' button with the three dots - Repair Text Encoding.

Hmm, that looks like it is a HTML email so I am guessing the sender set a font. One you do not have.
Normally font fall back to others in their family when we do not have the one specified installed the real mess occurs when the fall back in not a unicode fond so does not have the extended characters that unicode relies on. Then we see ??? or sometimes □□□□□□ or even ¿¿¿¿
Other issues can be folk that compose email in ancient mail clients like Outlook from a decade ago which routinely used ASCII/ANSI and code pages something that has largely been left in the dusty halls of history thankfully.
However given Noto.gr makes extensive use of web fonts my guess is that this is an issue with allowing remote content (allow it in the banner) or remote scripts in the HTML which are not allowed in Thunderbird. But without the message source the cause is difficult to determine.
