In the bookmarks sidebar (Win 10 PC), when using "search bookmarks" and after typing an entry to locate, I thought that there used to be a "button" (x) in the far right of the search field that would clear any entry and return the view of bookmarks in the sidebar to that which was displayed prior to the search.

Has something changed or was I just imagining this.

If my rampant imagination is at work, please consider this a feature request

Thanks

Hi, this seems to be a bug in Firefox 93, since the button is back in Firefox 94 (now in beta testing, scheduled to release next month).

For now, you can click in the bar and tap the Esc key to flush its contents instantly.

If you have a strong preference for a button and like to "tinker" with things, I've heard of an unofficial, unsupported CSS workaround over on r/FirefoxCSS (it requires creating a userChrome.css file):

Thanks for your time and response. I can deal with it for now while awaiting FF94.
