importing old Gmail emails in Thunderbird to a new pc

SuMo Bot

Hi everyone I have thunderbird on an old pc and moving over to a new pc. The Old Gmail emails which are on the old pc are not imported into the new pc. I have copied over the previous emails and settings using the method where you copy the contents of the "*****.default" folder to the new "******.default-release" folder. All the emails from the current and operational email address are there, however, none of the now not operational gmail emails are there. The image shows the directory from the old pc. What should I do.

thanks in advance

Update for additional information. In the folder called imap.gmail.com the INBOX file is copied across, however, when firefox starts, this file and a few others are deleted. Not sure why this happens. I can only presume that it is because the email address no longer exists.
