Firefox crashes half a second after starting even in safe-mode
Hi,
We are having an issue with Firefox 77 x64 on a Win10 (1909 - 18363.836) When we start it, nothing happens. Sometimes, we can see for half a second the dialog box asking if we want to start in safe mode but firefox stops before we have time to do anything. We tried to start firefox from Powershell in safe-mode without any success. We started firefox to reach the profile manager (.\firefox -ProfileManager), the profil manager starts and is crashing after half a second We noticed an installation of firefox 32 bits remaining. We deleted the folder. We desinstalled Firefox and reinstallled it many times without any success. (we tried the long term version without any success) We deleted the profile folder without any success.
What could we do?
Thanks in advance for your help!!
David

Thank you very much for your help. Sorry to have taken so much time to reply to you but the issue was on my uncle computer.
Strangely enough when I log back in his computer, he had a message telling that there was a problem accessing the profile and this time I managed to reach the profile dialog box. I therefore deleted all the profiles and created a new one. Everything is working fine now.
For info, there was no submitted crash reports available.
Thanks again, ;)

Step 1:
Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set
to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your
updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow
Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
- Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}
Step 2: If you can't get Firefox to open, you will have to do this the hard way.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozillacrashreporter Open the file browser/explorer on your computer. Note: You may have to enable Show Hidden Folders / Files. Enter this in the address bar;
Windows: %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win 7/Vista: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win XP/2000: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted
Mac OS: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Crash Reports/submitted Linux: /home/<username>/.mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports/submitted
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
Copy the most recent 5-7 File Names in the folder. Post the information in the reply box.
