Have had to reinstall Yahoo/Sky email with a new pw. Cannot get Firefox to remember my new pw. Have tried, but no joy...

Firefox won't remember my new Yahoo/Sky email pw. It always defaults to the old one, meaning I have to delete the old one and retype the new one every time. Have gone in to FF preferences and tried various things. Nothing works. Seems deleting and reinstalling ff is the only answer...or is it?

Using Firefox Lockwise, you could manually edit the password for that website.

I'd try going into your saved passwords by going to the top right hamburger menu, clicking logins and passwords, then searching for your old yahoo login and deleting it.

Then try logging in with the new one and see if it saves it then? It appears that occasionally users have this issue specifically with yahoo mail, so there are a couple other things to try if this doesn't work.
