When I click the renew license button which keeps popping up on each email, I am taken to http://quickfolders.org/ which offers nowhere to renew my SmartTemplate4 Pro 1 Year License?

Have you downloaded the 'quickfolders' addon ? Are you sure the 'renew license' is talking about smartTemplate and not quickfolders ?
Menu icon > Addons Does it offer anything in the SmartTemplate Pro tab on the Options dialog?
Suggest you contact the author of the addon if unsure.
