How to enable the "automatic rename" function for downloads?

I need to download many files, named 1.docx, 1.png, 10.jpg to the same directory. Each time FF asks me to rename manually those thousands of files, while other browsers support automatic rename, saving files as 1(1).docx etc. How can I enable this function? I disagree to believe that it wasn't yet implemented.

By default this is what you have to do there is no auto renaming unless your downloading the same file then it will rename it. AFAIK

Also if you search before posting as well.

Auto rename not working for 'Always ask you where to save files'. And i don't want to auto rename the file name on this option.

You can use the default option for 'Save files to' and change the directory path.

I save to the default directory and when FF meets the file with the same name and extension, it annoys me with the manual rename prompt. While other browsers rename automatically, I have to hunt those darn pixels with the cursor and invent new random names for each document. Kind of frustrating a lot
