The new version of FF is fantastic and on my tablet with the atom processor it has really speed up the response time of FF. This is one problem I have with all of my computers from Atom processor to Intel I5 quad core skylake processor systems. When I open FF the password windows takes a long time to show up to 5 seconds and if I do not enter my 20 character password in time, I get up to 4 password windows (I usually have FF startup with a web page that askes for username and password). Here is my suggestion for startup modification. 1) I would rather have the password window popup first before FF shows on my desktop. This way you enter the password or hit cancel which opens FF with password manager available or locked. Another idea is I know Libre Office uses something called quickstarter which is a tiny program always running in the background to speed up loading of Libre Office. It would not bother me in the least having a small FF program always running in the background to help speed up the loading of the password manager since FF has been my default browser for 10 years.

Why don't use a password manager like LastPass and set it to AutoLogin, so you don't even have to enter anything?

I never use an online password manger. I have general passwords that I let FF remember because no damage is done if the password manager is hacked in FF. Now for my sensitive passwords I have a vault (Veracrypt) and then keypass password manger. Essentially the passwords are encrypted twice and since they are portable vaults, I use my usb drive to transfer updates between my 5 computers. If you are concerned about security with your very sensitive passwords, you never let them be stored online.

Have them stored locally is even worse, man. That specific product stores them in an encrypted form but of course, I'm not trying to convince anyone here.

No it is not worse when you take responsibility for knowing where your computers are. If I know one computer is compromised then I can log into all my sites using other computers and change the passwords with in 5 minutes. You do not understand how professional hackers will focus on online storage as compared to a doubly encrypted file on my computer that might be lost, but it is not a professional hacker who is trying to hack into the vault on my computer (if I lose a computer) as compared to professional hackers going to a known password manager site to hack into their databases. With my keycode the estimate with my password is 5 professional hacking computers working on decrypting file for 3 days to hack it. 3 days is plenty of time for me to change ALL of my sensitive passwords at websites.

I can agree with that but, FYI, I know one thing or two about hacking. Much depends on what kind of data you have and how valuable it is. Like I said, everyone can choose what they think to be the best solution for themselves. FYI, if you get compromised by an elite hacker, you might never know. Anyway, most criminals would use ransomware: quick, dirty and effective. You need to worry about backups in the first place.
