Won't let me send email, or even save it (w/o sending it) to drafts or anywhere else. And it disappears, w/o a copy anywhere, when I try 2 send it

I get error messages when I try to save an email I'm preparing to drafts, and when I try 2 send it ("Enter your password for waywwords@charter.net on mobile.charter.net" - then it rejects the correctly-entered {I made sure, by checking with Charter} password}. And it won't even let me TRY 2 save it 2 some other folder (no such option on pop-up when I right click). I'm stymied, stumped, and stricken. Worked for hours on the piece and can't send it or even save it 4 later

Where is your Draft folder, local or on the server? If on the server, change it to the local one.

At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button > Options > Account Settings - Copies & Folders - Drafts and Templates

How can I tell if my Drafts folder is local or on the server, and, if it's on the latter, how do I switch it 2 the former? It's frustrating being so ignorant that answers lead 2 more questions than they address
