What is the data recovery cable?

Ralph Daub replied

With my Flame came a so called "data recovery cable". What is the difference to a normal Micro USB cable? Is it wired differently?

I noted that when I connect my Flame using a standard Micro USB cable, then it behaves funny. I have seen it reboot spontaneously, and also I've seen it reconnect and disconnect repeatedly. With the data recovery cable, connections seem to be stable, but I wonder why. The Keon worked fine with a standard Micro USB cable.

Hi Fekle,

I am not sure what the difference is in the Data Recovery cable. For me, when I use that cable for charging, my Flame device behaves strangely, sometimes requiring me to remove the battery before restarting the device.

I had written to T2M asking how to use the Recovery Cable and this was their response:

Please follow the instruction below to rescue the phone.
Firstly, we send a Recovery Cable with RED label with Flame phone, which is placed outside of Flame package. Please make sure that you have it.
Secondly, please download Emergency rescue tool from http://cds.w5v8t3u9.hwcdn.net/Flame%20Rescue%20Tool.zip, unzip it, run Flame.exe and follow the attached PPT instruction to start the rescue.
