Hi I would like to uninstall then re-install Thunderbird. can I do this without losing my address book contacts?Please!
Thunderbird repeatedly ask for my email server password. Also it fails to download my incoming mail and "times out"

Uninstalling and re-installing won't change your profile, so your address book will stay intact. The bad side is that the problem with the timeout will probably also stay intact :-(
