My customize option is gone after I did some customizing I don't like. Help Please
I tried to do some customizing of my Tool Bar and how it looks. I don't like what it did so I wanted to change it back but the Customize Icon is no longer visible nor are any of my Tool Bar Icons. All I have is the Bookmark Star, Download box, Home and Magnifying glass. All my Book Marks are invisible.
How can I get this reset back to where it was? I can't do anything if I can't see my Toolbar.
Where is the customize icon?

Ok. I was able to get my Tool Bar back however I still don't have the customize icon.
I had made the window where the URL is bigger. Next to that is Google Search, then the Star, Bookmarks, Download, Home and Search.
As for Right clicking. I don't know how to do it. There is a way to hit either Command or option or control. I have to Google it every time I have to do it.
I tried to attach a screen shot but it tells me its too big.
I found it! I used Help!

You might be running into a problem where putting the Bookmarks Toolbar Items on the main toolbar causes that and everything to the right of it to "overflow." Can you find a large >> button which opens a drop-down list with all the missing buttons?
If not, there are a few other ways to access Customize:
- right-click a blank area of the tab bar
- right-click the "+" button on the tab bar
- on the classic menu bar: View > Toolbars
(Another Mac user mentioned not having a multi-button mouse, and I read that the touchpad way to right-click might be a two-finger tap. I'd love to know the best method for future reference.)
Can you find your way back into Customize?

Ctrl+click sounds familiar from the old days.
If you have the "3-bar" menu button, that should let you access Customize. Or is that missing, too?
The list of what appears on each bar after you customize is stored in a hidden setting. You could try clearing that setting and then closing and starting Firefox up again. Here's where:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box that appears above the list, type or paste uic and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the browser.uiCustomization.state preference and delete its contents. Then click OK to save it.
That should restore the default layout. But the truth is, I've read that in other threads and haven't tried it myself.
Can you access Customize via View > Toolbars > Customize or via the right-click context menu of the Navigation Toolbar or Tab Bar?
You can also open the about:customizing page via the location/address bar.
If that works then you can click the "Restore Defaults" button.

Yes that's what I ended up doing cor-el. I just restored it to default settings.
Thanks for the help. Sometimes the most obvious thing escapes me!
You can also type about:customizing in the address bar.
