How do I restore previous tabs while keeping a blank homepage?

Firefox randomly updated itself today and some settings changed. I always restore the tabs I previously used, and whenever I open a new tab it would show a blank page. I don't know how I did that, but now I only ever get the options to "show my windows and tabs from last time" or "show a blank page." So now when I open a new tab, it shows me small images of websites I frequently visit, but I don't want that.

So, how can I both open my previous saved tabs all the time while having a blank page when I open a new tab?

You can set the about:newtab page to about:blank to get an empty new tab page.

You can restore the previous session via "History > Restore Previous Session" if you want to keep a blank (about:blank) page.
